Interview with James Atkins
James Atkins, thank you for this interview. My readers will not know you. Can you please provide details about yourself. Movies, profession, etc. I was born England in the 70’s, so my informative years were spent watching films like Indiana Jones, The Goonies, James Bond, and the original Star Wars Trilogy (Don’t get me started on the new ones!!). I also enjoyed comic books, and used to read Spiderman and Transformers in the 80’s (The original animated Transformers movie is brilliant). In the late 80’s and 90’s I would make films with my family and friends. We had zero concept of takes, shot lists etc, just had crazy ideas and filmed them. These films included ‘Frail Old Man’; a mix up of Karate Kid and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, where a Pensioner (played by a 15 year old) is trained in martial arts by a Basset Hound (made to talk using toffee), who takes down an evil wizard, and ‘The Stalker’; a classic horror about an i...
